Antique Edwardian 14kt Amethyst Ring, Sz. 10, 11.45 TCW.  This is a 14kt yellow gold statement ring.  Antique with age estimated at 1900-1910.  Edwardian filigree design with a bow on each side of the bezel and a filigree wrap below all the way around the ring with the upper shank of the band on each side also having a design. The amethyst is appx. 17.5mm by 13mm and appx. 9.5mm tall for a total appx. carat weight of 11.45.  The ring itself - is appx. 21.4mm down the finger and 14.2 mm across the finger with the height from the top fo the finger to the top of the amethyst at appx. 9.5mm when measured at the curve at the bottom of the ring where it sits on the finger to the top of the stone.  It is marked 14kt and tests as 14kt with an appx. weight of appx. 6.49 grams.  The gold is a very yellow gold as many antique pieces are when they are 14kt and up.  The faceting on the bottom just makes the ring jump.  It has and oval table on top with facets around the edge of the stone.  This is in excellent condition and it a stunner from the past.  It is not signed by the maker.
