Vintage Sterling Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace & Earrings Set, 25", 106 grams

$ 1,225.99

Vintage Southwestern Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace & Earrings Set - Butterfly Style - could  be Zuni/Navajo - not sure.  It has ten bow-like blossoms each with an oval cabochon that is appx. 9.5mm by 7.5mm, bezel set.  The bows themselves are 1.5" by 7/8".  They are strung on a double strand that makes up 15" of the 25" necklace.  The silver beads are approximately 6.2mm wide.  Weight of the necklace and earrings is 106 grams.  It has a naja pendant that is approximately 2.25" by 2" - it is bounded on a thin bar that is strung at the center of the double strands.  It has hand-like ends on the tips.  I am sure this naja is symbolic of something.  It has hook and ring closure.  The earrings are pierced and an exact match of the box bow like blossoms on the necklace.  These bows are a stamped design with the loops of the bow being raised and  on the back they are concave.  Around the stone there is a ridge stamped design.   The turquoise is a blue with brown veining - I am not sure which turquoise mine this came from. This is in very good condition other than the light oxidation which can be polished but they look fine as is.  The design itself has a dark look around the bow and beads - that will go away of properly polished.  I did test it to be sure it was not burnished to stay dark .  The beads are often referred to as Navajo pearls - they are hand made beads that are soldered together in the center.   This is not signed by the maker.  This is a beautiful set but I believe it is not as vintage as the Old Pawn style. It is marked sterling and all parts have been tested.  I changed the hooks as they had some wear.  Sterling Silver hooks were used.   There is no magnetic reaction to any part of the set.    This came from a PA estate. Please note that most of my photos are taken at 10X magnification. This shows any blemishes much more magnified than they really are.

I keep great notes about each item and can answer most questions quickly, but I do not store fine jewelry on premises, so answers about specific measurements may take some time as I arrange to inspect the piece again.

In addition to this website, Maria's Vintage, I am on eBay as stampshopgirl, on Etsy as stampshopgirl, and on StorEnvy as Maria's. I have many vintage jewelry items and other vintage and new items - a very wide variety.

I will combine shipping, even if you buy items from one of my other stores. If you purchase one item and know you’ll be picking more, just email me and let me know and I will ship them at the same time and refund the shipping over the combined limit.

Given the number of different items I carry it is hard to know what combination of items can be purchased to pre-plan the shipping, so just email me and we will work it out to save you shipping charges whenever possible.
