tage Hargo Dragon Clamper Bracelet & Clip Earrings Set.  7". A stunning piece by Hargo, signed HAR. 1950's. It is signed HAR and is a vintage Dragon hinged-clamper bangle bracelet & earrings demi parure. The Dragon`s head is at the tip of the bracelet where it bypasses it's tail. It has beautiful textured crystal/glass nuggets that have the aurora borealis peacock shimmers like it is lava from deep within the earth in a range of shapes, sizes and colors of green & purple . These stones are unique to Hargo. There are two large stones in this raw design and then a round, pear and marquise shaped stone with a mix of clearer stones in round cuts that also have the aurora borealis shimmer that are scattered throughout the bracelet. . The white enamelled metal has fine detail and is in excellent condition with an antiqued wash that allows the highly textured metal to shine through. The earrings are clip on but your jeweler can convert these to pierced. This is a piece of art and quite the statement piece and will be noticed when worn. HAR, Hargo, only manufactured jewellery for a brief period, their production was limited and when found in good vintage condition, is highly collectible, valuable and rare. Stamped HAR with copyright C on the tail. One earring is also stamped. The copyright for this piece is in April of 1959. This set is featured in several reference books including Judith Miller`s book "Costume Jewellery", Marcia "Sparkles" Brown`s book "Signed Beauties of Costume Jewellery", Jacqueline Rehmann`s book "Classic American Costume Jewellery". Bracelet is appx. 7" and is nearly 1.75" wide at the largest nugget. The tail is tapered from appx. 1/2" down to 1/4" at the tip. The earrings also have a lava style nugget with other rhinestones as well and is appx. 1.5". I've had the green enameled set before this one years ago and never thought I'd run into a second set.
