First of many blogs - introduction and links Posted on 08 Sep 10:31 , 0 comments
If you are reading this - thank you. I just wanted to give you a little background on the store - we've been around since 1998. We were first a brick and mortar store in a mall. We had a rubber stamp store that was a nice chick shop, with gift baskets, crafts, and gifts and also a coffee bar. We closed that in the mall and moved to a stand-alone store and in 2003 closed that and went to online sales in Ebay in 2003 (hence the name stampshopgirl in some of the venues). Since 2009 the focus switched to mostly vintage jewelry; however, like everyone else, there are always things around your house you decide can be sold and therefore there are other vintage items sometimes mixed in (mostly in Ebay at the moment). I am always on the prowl for great vintage jewelry pieces. If you are looking for something and don't see it - just ask - I may have it not listed but in inventory. I may also know who has it or a likely source for what you are looking fo,r so feel free to ask. I really like the hunt and consider this website and our general goal as purveyors of under-valued assets - finding treasures where others see trash.
I haven't yet decided how often I will blog - all of this is new to me - but keep watching there will be more to come and any comments are welcome. You can also email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Following are links to the other store venues we have - Ebay current has over 2,500 items, and Etsy and Storenvy are very similar to what we have up in our store at the moment - but that will be increasing daily. I do have a Facebook presence as well and that link is below - I will be updating that too with a daily post of a new featured item.
I have a lot up on Pinterest that does incorporate mariasvintage as well as Ebay, Etsy, and Storenvy. Twitter and Instagram links are there but I'm not quite at that point of posting there but please follow me and then there will be incentive to do that - I plan on posting discounts and coupons in the various social media venues so keep checking.
The links are:
Ebay Seller name: stampshopgirl Ebay Store: Maria's

You will see me say we have or I have - it is a mix - my husband (Tom) is the website designer and tech person - and more the behind-the-scenes "go-to" person - I am the finder, lister, seller, shipper, and primary customer service person - so that explains a little about who does what and why you see "we" and "I."
Happy looking..... and please spread the word.
